Passionate fans of the pop star are urging that a person who leaped a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or removed from Singapore.

A viral video depicts the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was due to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed contains clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said another response on Instagram.

Several supporters also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while some called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, earning a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
